I like to think of myself, as much of a Postal Artist, as a Technologist.
The power of modern digital imagery, allows me to express my vision and help document my adventures
HomemadePostcards.com is where I have begun to
document the methods I use for the production of much of my Postal Art.
GicleePostcards.com(tm) provides an overview of the
process I have perfected for the production of my GicleePostcards(tm).
PostcardBob 2003-2004 Ohio Covered Bridges features a set of 165+ Ohio Covered Bridge views
and collages, representing close to half the total bridges in Ohio. My Fall 2003, Winter 2004, and Fall 2004
images are available here and on ebay in the form of postcards, signed prints and Postal Art. The Winter 2005 images are still a long way from production :)
The last image in this set, was taken on Christmas Morning of 2003. It was processed and the Giclee print was almost dry, before it found it way under the Christmas tree. Who said we were "all" iced in :)
Why Covered Bridges ?
My Cave is located a long way from Stonehenge, in Central Ohio, or I would have more henge pictures. The fact is, there are close to 150 covered bridges within about 150 mile drive of my Cave.
I like covered bridges in both the fall and winter, under the blue sky and over water, either running or frozen. Peruse my images and you will get the idea ... The primary purpose behind this project was to produce a comprehensive set of postcards documenting the current condition of the covered bridges in my area.
This is a work in progress, I have views of close to half of the total bridges in Ohio, and look forward to getting some nice winter shots in 2005.
